Our grocery budget is super short this week.

Rice or beans, steamed veggies frozen or fresh, any meat baked or waited in a pan, hamburger helper, pasta and alfredo or tomato sauce,
What kind of foods do you eat?

I usually make baked chicken or fish with steamed veggies then use the bones to make a bone broth then make soup from it. It makes about 6 servings or more each. I freeze and eat during the week. R snacks I do nuts, seeds and fruit or raw veggies.
Those foods sound yummy

I also plan to make chicken tacos and chicken pot pie. It, just sucks because this week DH is home too. :/ He'll probably complain about being hungry a lot but.he will have to deal since it's his daily we're short

We make tacos when we need to make a cheap meal stretch.
Beans, instant rice, taco seasoning, and water simmered until the rice is done cooking. Not terribly healthy, but it's like $12 for everything needed and you get like 20 burritos/tacos out of it.

Eh maybe a few days of being hungry will teach him that he can't spend $60/week on booze

Rice is super good for that! We get a huge 5lb bag for $4 and just make it paired with chicken and a veggie a lot. Either with a little butter and salt, or with whatever soup/spices I used for the meat.
I also made this soup, potatoes are filling and cheap!

A lot of times I'll just put a little butter on some chicken and sprinkle whatever seasonings I have on them and bake them, or cover them in a can of cheap cream of whatever soup.

I thiiiink I have some low-sodium recipe in a folder somewhere. One of my clients had a restricted diet and I found some stuff to make her. I'll try and dig them up, hold on.
