UTI that didn't clear up

I have only had one UTI in my life. I started getting symptoms about a week ago. I was put on Bactrim for 3 days, and it didn't clear up, so I had to go get a UA at the lab which my labs were:

So I was given a 7 day regimen of Cipro at 500mg BID (twice a day), have taken 2 pills so far and not really feeling any better. How freaking long is this going to take to go away, I'm seriously feeling desperate. i don't want to sound like a pussy, but peeing is supposed to be enjoyable   And no I do not have an STD causing it, that was also ruled out, although it was never really an option, just ruled other smurf out too.

Cipro can take about 4 days to start working. I know it's a VERY strong anti-biotic I was just on it twice before mine cleared up. Thankfully my urologist put me on monthly anti-biotics so I can prevent getting UTI's( I get more then 6 a year)

Can take a couple days to feel better. The doctor can give you a medication called AZO that helps right away, makes your pee bright orange but stops the symptoms while you're waiting for the antibiotics to work.

Ouch! I'm so sorry to hear you get that many!! I hope it'll knock it out the first time since I did just take a round of Bactrim, AND my insurance is discontinued January 1st and my new one doesn't kick in until mid-February. Just my luck haha...ah not really haha.
Do you take any cranberry supplements?

I took AZO already last week when it was treated first and it made my crotch itchy because I took it for too long because my symptoms weren't clearing up. It doesn't so much hurt anymore as I am very aware it's there.

Nope, I refuse to because I have tried them in the past and they haven't worked. My urologist suggested something natural to take too but I cannot think of the name of it. I know it's not AZO or whatever it's called. I have damaged Kidney's so every time I get a UTI or a kidney infection my kidney's damage a little more. However thankfully this last UTI didn't do anything and considering all I have been through this past year with my health I am really healthy now. I WILL however drink Cranberry juice once in a while, but I have to mix it with ginger-ale or else it will sit in the fridge forever until I have to throw it out.

Do you take probiotics? Because with all that going on, I would be taking handfuls.

I would get them alllllll the time not knowing at the time that i was allergic to LATEX condoms..wtf.. So yea i know a thing or two about this subject lol and it does take maybe 4 days with out other meds for the pain ..i was always given an antibiotic along with PHENAZOPYRIDINE HCL tablet this tablet helps soooooo much it's for the pain

I've had glomerularnephritis a few times. But never started as a UTI just straight to my kidneys, the first time was when I was 3. I know all the protein in my urine means my kidneys aren't up to par right now. But I'm peeing clear again and alot at one time. I really hate antibiotics. I love cranberry juice, I'm weird. I have chugged a bottle the past two days and took a cranberry supplement today and will start doing so daily.

I make sure I do because I am on anti-biotics daily for it. I am honestly just glad my urologist put me on something so I don't have to run to my family doctor every time I get an infection. Plus I am on high blood pressure medication and thyroid medication. I eat pretty healthy too though.

You are weird   I can't stand the taste of it. Make sure that it's pure cranberry though not cranberry cocktail lol
