Wanting to cry

posted 29th Dec
This may not be a big deal to some but it is to me.
I just want my living room clean. Able to walk through it without stepping on toys etc. I can't do that though. The kids refuse to entertain themselves for 15 minutes. I can't get smurf done. It is driving me nuts. I just want this area clean. Then I can move to their room. Mom gave them late naps today so they aren't tired. I'm just so fed up. Plus I'm working tomorrow to make extra money because I really need it.

Ugh sounds like my house. I believe the only time I will be able to live a clean toyless house will be when my son, daughter and hubby go off to college

its not even the toys really. ITs the fact that I want to be able to have a path just to walk through. Like UGH! I'm so sick and tired of doing all this smurf on my own.

How old are your kids? Can't you get them involved with helping clean up?

We had a rule that there were only 3 toys allowed out at one time. It worked very well for us.

I was nearly in tears walking out of my house to work today because I spent 4 hours yesterday cleaning my living room, kitchen, and DS's bathroom and its destroyed again. There's a heatwave on at the moment and its far to hot for DS to be playing outside and only being little all he wants to do is scatter his toys through out the house.
SO was desperately trying to clean his bedroom when I left only to be thawted at every turn .. its so depressing.

2 and 3. I have them in their room trying to do their toys in there. That is usually our rule too but their grandma babysat them the other day and yeaaaa. My house was so organized and pretty but I can't complain I didn't have to pay 6 dollars an hour for a babysitter

That is how it was before their grandma came over. I stayed up all Christmas night cleaning the house and then come home after making the house perfectly spotless to a horrific mess. I was like OH MY! Then it is too icy out side for them to go play out there during the day so yea

I just want to clean so bad. There's someone home now until Wednesday (its SO's days off and then I'm having to take carers leave on Tuesday because I can't get a babysitter for New Years day). SO is deep cleaning DS's bedroom and the laundry today and then our pigsty of a bedroom tomorrow. I just want a tidy home like a normal person. On top of that I'm stressed about money as well, and the idea of taking a day off is worrying me to no end.

I know how that is! That is why I didn't ask off for a single holiday because Iw as scared it would screw me out of more hours. Now the days I've supposed to have had off I got screwed out of. lol Which I mean is more money but still suck.

I'm tenured staff and full time (contracted for 40 hours per week), but I don't think I'll get paid for carers leave. I've applied to do overtime to cover it but I'm worried I won't get i being New Years.

Awww boo! Yea I'm just working at stupid McDonald's until I finally decide what I'm really going to school for. I've thought about nursing but the waiting list is horrible, then Respiratory therapy, and physical therapy. I just don't know yet. I figured I would take a semester off to think it over and figure it out.

I work IT support ... its just call centre work but I make $21 an hour plus monthly bonuses and overtime so its not to bad. I've just made up my mind that I'm going back next semester to do a double degree in archeology and creative writing. Now I just have to wait for my copy of my high school exams to come through.

Oh wow. That sounds fun! I just can't make up my mind on exactly what I want to do. I know my ending point in life is either a Nurse Practitioner or a Midwife, but with being a single mom I kind of want to wait till the kids are a little bit older since it is such a huge commitment.

I have an associates in nursing and had nearly got my BSN (and was working as an intensive spinal nurse for 4 year), when I was diagnosed with my autoimmune disorder and would have to give it up. It almost killed me, I'm just happy to be moving on again.

Oh my! I would say so! I've always wanted to be a nurse, but with a 2 and 3 year old and nobody else to really help out with them I don't see that happening right now so I was thinking something just temporary and then moving on when they both are school aged.
