Oh for sure. I actually haven't had a chance to expose it to anything though, so far. I am so weak to my stomach I planned on keeping this bad boy covered for some time   I was looking at pics of staph after packing was removed, and mine actually looks a lot better. All of the purple and red, and hardness is completely gone. So, I guess whatever the hell it is, it's on it's way to getting better. I always thought that with staph it grows slowly, over time. Like, you'd notice a sore or something. But I haven't had anything, until this and it was only on my boob. I also always thought you got it from touching something, so it seems too weird to be just on my boob, kwim?

Also, do you know of other spiders that could cause a bite like this? My son was bit week before last as well, though, I assumed he was bit while playing outside. Now I am kind of wondering if we were bit by the same thing   Though, his healed on its own very nicely, and in fact, his never drained even. But now that I am sitting here thinking about it, could mine have just been more severe because of its sensitive location? Off to google some more, haha.

Ive always been told you can get staph from damn near anything. A towel you've used more then once, a wash rag, a dish sponge, etc...

I freak out at the first sign of anything that looks like a red swollen bump lol. Staph is so scary for me since seeing my dad draped in a yellow tint and having to wear gloves, mask and a gown to visit him. scary smurf for sure!

I'm not sure of any other spiders but it's possible he got a little pimple and it went away. My son was bit a few months back and I actually swatted the spider that bit him and caught him to show the doctor. It looked almost identical to a BR but it wasn't..His bite swelled up and then healed on it's own luckily. Never found out what kind of spider it was but I kept him on my fridge in the bag for a few weeks just in case someone wanted to check him out again and maybe tell me what it was.

Mine started as a pimple on my butt. I didn't think much of it until it started to swell and hurt. That took about a week. And IT WAS ON MY BUTT. Which is another sensitive spot, perhaps even worse than your boob since I was actually sitting right on the damn thing for so long. So I really don't think it is staph. Lol. You've got two different opinions here, ;) but at least you feel like its getting better!!!
And at least it doesn't seem like yours got as bad as mine. (no fever, and it didn't SPRAY when they lanced it)
I was out of school and on pain meds on the couch for two weeks after that

You have staph on your skin. It is naturally occurring.

I was thinking about this last night. And MRSA. When my grandma was quarantined with MRSA and I was pregnant with Mitch, I freaked out and asked to be tested, but they said I didn't need to be, because like 95% of everyone will test positive anyway. It isn't until you have an MRSA infection that causes a problem. Kinda like......yeast. Everyone carries yeast around them, but it doesn't cause a problem until the balance is off and it causes an infection. But, I do not think mine is an infection, from 2 different nurses I was told it actually looks REALLY good, but I do need it packed again, so DH is picking up iodoform gauze and I'll clean it with saline and repack it. Well, try to, iwithout passing out lmfao.

Your skin was peeling around it? Kinda sounds like HS disease, especially being under the boob. That's where my first one was and it was pretty much out of the blue.
