This is the ONLY reason why I don't think it's staph or a boil or anything, it literally showed up and when I noticed it, it looked like that pic I just posted. EXACTLY like that.

My niece had a pretty big boil in a matter of hours. It started as a pimple looking thing and within 2 hours, we were at the hospital, getting it drained and having it packed. It was so bad by the time she saw a Dr that it was oozinh tons of pus.

Good news is that it really looks pretty good all around the opening. Doesn't look too red.

Tea tree oil will stop the infection in it's tracks. It's good stuff.

Im pretty sure OP had hers lanced which is why it is an actual hole.

I say if you really think its a recluse bite, follow what they said and try to let it heal. See what happens and see if it gets worse. Take your meds...
And go back if you think it is getting worse.

Oh and the ring around it, I had the peeling ring as well. But, they also finished draining it at the ER.

That's the thing, they really told me NOTHING   The paperwork they gave me was even for impetigo   So, I have no idea what to look for, or how it should look. It DOES look a hell of a lot better, I mean, my tit isn't purple, or hard now, so that's a huge plus. And, it does feel 10 times better, but still painful.

Yeah, I didn't actually watch wtf they did, I have a REALLY weak stomach. I just know they shot me with numbing meds, did their thing, and I was bandaged up, covered in blood   Oh how wonderful our ER really is. I tried urgent care first, but they turned me away saying it was life or limb threatening.

I love spiders but poisonous ones, especially brown recluses freak me out. They are so common down here in the south.

They basically just took a scalpel to it and let it drain. IMO that is not a BR bite. Everything you said sounds exactly like staph! Mine was on the back of my leg and had the peeling red ring, it swelled and got bigger and literally showed up out of nowhere. To be on the safe side I would wash your hands a LOT and try not to mess with it too much. Keep an eye on it and check your littles because that smurf spreads so easy if it is staph.

I have kept a band aid on it. I just looked at staph pics, and some of them do look just like this, but same with brown recluse bites   Smurffy they can both look exactly the same   But like I said, I haven't had anything, then bam, it popped up. I have been sooooo busy with the holidays, I have been shoving my clothes into my closet so Thursday I was taking the day doing laundry. Our only guess was a spider lurking in the clothes and me not realizing it until a few hours later.

And that could very well be the case. My dad and I worked at the same place (a small car lot) and literally two weeks before I got "bit" he was bit by a brown recluse too. His actually was life threatening. His was a BR bite that developed into MRSA. He almost lost his arm and was actually in a quarantine type setup at the hospital so when I developed the same symptoms I rushed into the hospital but luckily mine was just staph and looked the same as yours. Either way, if it was a BR bite it looks like it has been taken care of and if it is staph it looks well on it's way to being healed but I would still be super careful and wash all my bed sheets, towels, etc...anything I share with anyone else...kwim? just to be safe.
