Yellow & Grey - too feminine for a neutral nursery?

posted 29th Dec
We are getting ready to decorate the larger of our three guest rooms, and I wanted to paint it yellow and grey.

As we are also TTC, this room will turn into a nursery in the event we do have a child.

Do you think it is too feminine?

I think it'll be awesome! I painted a whole damn forest in our nursery then saw on Pinterest a grey and yellow nursery   almost redid the room

Thank you!

The last thing I want to do is a typical pink or blue nursery. I wanted something that would grow well with a child.

I think yellow and grey are excellent colors for either sex. So it won't be too boyish or girly.

That's actually my favorite two colors together. I think it would be great for either sex.

you can always add a splash of bright blue, pink, lavender, green or any other bright cheerful color.

I wanted yellow and gray with aqua accents for this boy, hubs isn't buying it.

He'll be sharing a room with us for quite a while and our bed and end tables are gray.

I think it sounds pretty neutral. In fact, I was just looking at an awesome yellow/grey room

That's what I thought as well.

For a boy, antique maps and for girls, sunflowers.

sounds perfect! maybe some blimps, dirigibles, hot air balloons and maps for a boy.

At least that's what I'd do if I could.

That's exactly what I was thinking....I found a great mobile with hot air balloons that I fell in love with.

is it felt and off etsy? I'm getting one as soon as I have an idea what bedding we're going with. I might just have my SIL make it, since my husband has made things pretty difficult.
