Not at all! Evangeline is one of my favorites...if we ever have another girl it will probably be her name. And Evie is cute.
Genevieve is also on my list of favorites, but DH hates it. I never thought of Evie as a nickname for that...I love it! Either would be great.

Do you like Evelina? Evonne? Evelia? Evita?

I don't know how much history there is to the name but Luna Lovegoods real name is Evanna, that could work too.

How about Evonne? I know it's typically Yvonne but from what I'm gathering Evonne is a legit spelling.

I don't like that spelling. I like Yvonne though. You can use a nickname that comes from a pronouciatin rather than a spelling. Like Yvonne and calling her evie.

We have a lot of Margarets at the nursing home that go by Peg/Peggy. I'd never heard of that but apparently it was common!

Peggy is a super common nickname for Margaret. my mom is a Margaret/Peggy. We are all Margaret, seriously.
If I had a daughter shed be Margaret too. I'd probably use Pearl, Molly , Midge or Maisy as a nickname.

I love my name...I go by Liz or Beth. My family calls me Beth and I like that a little better. When I got to school, kids started calling me Liz and it just stuck. I would definitely name a daughter Elizabeth, but DH thinks it's weird to name a daughter after me (he's named after his father and hates it). I'd probably call her Libby.
