re: Put some clothes on that kid
posted 29th Dec
When it's really hot in my house i let my son hang out in just his diaper. I also don't keep a shirt on him when he breaks out in a real big drool rash. SO and i get comments about it sometimes and i tell them good thing it's our kid and not YOURS.

When I was a kid, I was always naked.
My daughter loves to be naked.
She runs around...diaper and pants...no shirt
shirt and no diaper...
just a diaper...
Or just nekkid!
If we have someone over, depending on who it is I'll put a diaper on her. But if someone bitches about my child being in just a diaper....they can SmUrf OFF. She's a baby.
DUHHH~
I have a friend who lets her son run around completely naked outside with neighbors around..they say WHOGIVESASmUrf!
Then again I guess we are just a buncha hippie rednecks in these woods! Lol.
We live in Arkansas so its COLLLLD right now. So there aren't too many naked babies around here these days. But yeah it would piss me off if someone told me how to dress my child.
Hell!!! I would be naked all the time too if I could!!
But we don't live in a commune, yet
When we go out, she's definitely dressed. If she gets her clothes dirty, I'll take them off, as long as its warm outside, definitely not now in the winter. I would rather her be naked than in filthy clothes personally. Sometimes when we go to Baby Bookworm at the library, its at 10:00 in the morning and sometimes we will just leave her in her PJ's until she comes home and has lunch...ruins her jammies and whatnot. I'm really conscious about not using way too many outfits in one day. Might as well let the jammies be the ones that are stained. Less laundry too.
Lol I edited this like five times.
I have a lot to say about how I dress my kid I guess. Who knew.

Quoting ❥ Meℓi:" Sorry to say but this sounds lazy as hell. My DD never wears her clothes more than once & I always ... [snip!] ... day. She never stays in her PJ's. She is never in just a diaper either, even when it was hot, she would be in at least a onsie."
My daughter wears her pj's more than once if they are clean... jeans too or hoodies. Damn... so lazy!

We do jeans and hoodies but pjs one day because he wears them to play in when he wakes up... and he is a nasty sweater. He is 8.5 months and already has little boy funk! Gag!

DS is going to be three soon and loves to be naked. Most days he'll strip down the second we walk through the door. He's fully dressed when we go out but I am not going to fight with him to keep clothes on in our own home. LO is four weeks old and usually has a sleeper on but will sometimes just hang out in his diaper if it's really warm here. And when we go out, he stays in a sleeper. I'm not going to bother with a shirt and pants.

I have three daughters - they are always dressed, if it's pjs or an outfit. My oldest is 5, and she was just sick - she only wore a t-shirt and underwear, which never happens. They are always fully dressed.

Sure am. That's why I have three kids who are developmentally ahead, my oldest is special needs from a dog attack, my middle child has an autoimmune disorder and I exclusively breastfeed my baby. All Thia while volunteering at my kids school, taking care of ny house, and going back to school fulltime. He'll yeah im one lazy ass bitch simply because after three kids I've realized around the house clothes aren't a neccessiry for my baby. My older two are always dressed but im not going to go through ten outfits a day for a baby with reflux. So im one breastfeeding, barefoot, NAKED BABY LOVING MAMA! You don't know me or my kids so get over yourself.

No wonder there are so many people who feel shame about their bodies. It's sad that so many people feel it's gross, weird or lazy to let a child be comfortable in their natural state.

I guess they don't seem to realize that babies love to be held skin to skin. I nurse my son in a sports bra and pants and always cuddle him skin to skin at night before bed. Its good for them to feel that contact.

my babydoll always wears clothes. Shes 5 months old, and has extremely sensitive skin like her father. Laying on the carpet makes her break out in hives. So she cant touch bare carpet.
We have to have several blankets underneath her whenever she plays on the floor.
