And my DS has reflux so we let him go without clothes often. No big deal at home. In public he wears clothes. My family could care less. If he's warm then whatever. And laundry dies pile up even if they're little. I live in ab apartment and have three kids. I have to haul laundry downstairs and pay to wash it so I understand the laundry issue too

If a kid isnt going out they dont need to get dressed up. They DO need to wear at least PJs if they are cold/cool. But if its hot... let em wear just a diaper. Let em wear just pj's at home.

Lily is 9 and walks around naked half the time at home... I dont care. Its home... she doesnt need to get dressed unless people are coming over or its cold. And if it is cold, she doesnt have to get dressed past pjs unless we are going out.

My Mom used to joke that I'd grow up to be a stripper since I never wore clothes when I was younger. I still hate clothes... boobies for everyone! lol

Aww hell! Who cares if it's in your own house. Tell them to shut it. Addison (4) usually runs around in a t shirt and underwear, but not so much now since it's cold outside. Asher man always has clothes on though.

The laundry thing isn't why I don't dress him. I'm just saying I don't see a reason to put clothes on him to stay home. It's not like he's more comfortable dressed. All it's doing is making more laundry. That's the only thing I can think of that would happen if I dress him just to sit at home.

I didn't leave them in diapers but I rarely dressed them in anything other then a sleeper for the first 5 or 6 months of their lives (I thought sleepers were cute and they both threw up a lot and had some blow-out diaper explosions, sleepers are much easier to change).

Here diapers wouldn't be warm enough and then in the summer they would be too exposed in the sun.

I always put clothes on DS. Like everyone else said, it's not like the clothes takes up much space in the laundry.

I always have my little one in a one piece footie outfit. I also live in Ohio. I don't see anything wrong with what you are doing. It would be different if your child was being beat or starved. Its your child don't worry about what others say.

My son is always in at least a onesie. Sometimes I'll just let him hang out in his diaper, but my house is always at 72 degrees so he isn't cold...but again, he's at least in a onesie about 97% of the time.

I personally don't leave my son in just a diaper, because it's below freezing and I live in Indiana, but I might if I lived in Cali like you.

We live in Indiana and my kid is still only in a pull up. He hates clothes so much and sweats so bad.

I think that's the point you missed in your OP.

Leaving everyone to believe you let your child run around naked, even outside of the house.

Im sorry but I personally consider that naked. I would never do that out in public. Being at home and staying in pjs or a diaper and a onsies once in a while is just fine. My DD is usually more dressed with clothes. I have bummy clothes for her too. you could do that, like joggers and a onsies

my kids like (d) being naked! my son is 4 and still runs nudie well in his undies...and my 3 yr old loves being naked...
i get them dressed turn around and BAM no clothes...
if they are happy that way no biggie im home with them not like they are at daycare or school doing this

My youngest has sensory processing disorder pretty bad and can't handle wearing clothes for long. I try to keep a shirt on him and a diaper/undies at home but I'm not always successful. He also absolutely can not wear socks, period. I dress him when we go out and he's usually ok until we get home.

My oldest is the opposite, he wakes up, changes out of his nighttime pull up, picks out his undies and clothes and gets dressed to the shoes every morning.

I'm used to being judged, being a mom of 2 special needs kids I've learned to shrug it off.
