Healthy snack ideas?

posted 29th Dec
I actually made a meal plan for next month. It took FOREVER.

I haven't done the weekends yet, because I'm not sure how to go about them. DH works from 5am-3pm Saturday and Sunday so DD and I usually just eat whatever.

I have breakfast, lunch, and dinners planned now I just need snack ideas. I'm clueless. My DD is 18 months old and loves fruit, and some veggies. Any advice will be appreciated.

Fresh fruit is always my go-to. Grapes are easy, as are apples and peanut butter.

DD actually eats plain baby carrots. I couldn't believe it! But DH is ranch obsessed so he switched to light. I don't use it, though.

If she is ok with peanut butter you could do apple slices with peanut butter, celery sticks with peanut butter and raisins (ants on a log), cubed cheese, cheese and crackers, yogurt, make necklaces out of fruit loops or cheerios and let her eat it. I like to do snacks a few days in advance when I can and put them in ziplock baggies in the fridge that way it can be grab and go if my LO's get really hungry out of nowhere

How old is she? How many teeth does she have?
I'm pretty impressed with my friends DS who eats them plain, even at 16 months which is how old my DD is now. But she only has 5 teeth so far~ lol.
Thats really awesome   Love to love a baby that chooses to be healthy!!!

That's a good idea! I'm going to do that.   Sometimes DD will just start throwing a fit and knocking on the fridge door, lol.

I don't think she's ever tried peanut butter. I'll see how that goes!

To each their own. They have low fat and low sodium options. Personally hummus will never be something in my household because SO and I both think its disgusting.
Apple slices with Cheddar cheese is really good too.

She's 18 months and has 16 teeth. It still scares me though. I keep a super close eye on her when she eats them.
