That's definitely my understanding; the external genitals are not formed until around 16-18 weeks, in some cases babies born very prematurely are mis identified until a later 'gestation' due to this, I think its probably best to wait until your 20 week scan xxx

I had a gender u/s with my daughter at 15 weeks 1day and you could clearly see three distinct lines. With this one I had an u/s at 11 weeks where they said it was a boy based off the nub theory. 13 and 16 weeks they are still POSITIVE it's a boy. I would get another u/s in a few weeks, if it's still a boy then, I would go by that 100%

Did your boy look like this at 15 weeks?

That looks like a boy to me. I had a scan with my son at 15 weeks and it looked the same. We found out DD was a girl at 16 weeks and she had absolutely no nub.
