Is there a point?

Our almost 3 year old is sick. He's got a fever and has been sleeping more than usual, no coughing or sneezing. We also have a 3 week old.
Is there a point in keeping them in different rooms? They've been in the same bedroom and in the car together today. I guess I'm not seeing much of a point but also feel guilty that I won't be doing everything in my power to stop LO from getting sick.

I would think that even being in the same house, you touching them both/wearing the same clothes around them both... that you couldn't really prevent it. I probably wouldn't let the three year old play with the baby, but I don't think I'd keep them in separate rooms. I've never really thought about this, though!

There really is no way to keep the baby from getting sick.
It sucks, as soon as one of my kids gets sick I KNOW that we are all going to get sick. No matter how much I wash hands, door knobs, blankets, clothes ect.
I would just say no giving baby kisses or hugs and hope for the best!
