Showing during 2nd pregnancy

posted 29th Dec
I'm going to be 9 weeks tomorrow and wonder if I'm still just bloated or if I could be starting to show this soon.

Little bit of both, possibly. Your muscles aren't as tight anymore, so they stretch easier, and so you do show a little earlier, but bloating is still a big possibility at 9 weeks, too.

Its different for everyone, but I was getting asked how far along I was on a consistant basis at 15 weeks. I also carry in the front though, and I am HUGE for only being 27 weeks lol.

Thank you! I am hoping to keep myself dropping some weight like I did with my first, especially since I still have some extra pounds to lose.

I'm the exact opposite, this is my 2nd pregnancy, I'm 20 weeks, and my stomach is FLAT. I didn't show with my first one until I was 8 months and I literally gained it all in one day it seemed like. But I had asked my Dr at the time why I wasn't showing like other women who were just as far along as I was and he told me it was because I just had a tighter stomach than them, but my baby was fine. I had a 9lbs 2oz baby 2 days before my due date. I'm just so nervous with this one because I have had 3 miscarriages within the year, every time I go in they say she is growing normally, I just feel like I should be showing more. Anyone else have a similar situation? Suggestions?

I think when you start to show depends on a lot of factors....your height, your weight, how fast the baby grows, where the baby is positioned.. that sort of thing.. i was bloated until around 17 weeks when it was finally baby and since im 5 ft1 people were like WOAH nice belly lol. my first pregnancy i was 3 lbs over my normal weight when i got pregnant so it took a while to show.. i lost that baby at 5 1/2 months & got pregnant two months later. i still had weight from the last so i started out at 126lbs and so i had lots of baby fat lol and i started to have a belly around 16 weeks=/ this pregnancy ive gained a lot of weight from the stress of dh passing away so i started out at 129 (i was 116 when hubby passed) the pregnancy was unintentional so that added a lot to it.. im 10 1/2 weeks and have a noticable fat baby going on LOL but once the bloat disappears (although my fat wont    lol ) ill probably show more around 15/16 wks.

Oh no, I'm so sorry for your loss. I bet that was a lot of stress.
5ft 1in- 126lbs! You are a tiny lil' thing! lol- I am only 5ft 2in but I weigh around 150lbs. (ick) I can feel and see a "ball" right below my pantline when I lay on my back. But when I'm just standing there you would never guess I was pregnant. If my baby is growing and healthy I can live with not showing, but I just get so anxious when it's time to go to the Dr. because I'm always afraid this will be the time they will say something is wrong. My husband always tells me to try to stay positive (which I do) I just can't shake the feeling every time that this is too good to be true and something will be wrong.
