Proof of heaven?

posted 29th Dec
This is not just another near death experience but is one that challenges the theory that NDEs is a hallucination of the dying brain. Eban Alexander is a brain surgeon who himself held these views until he himself suffered a severe brain disease that put him in a coma for seven days and his brain in its condition could not have produced any sort of imaginary visions. The most astonishing thing about his experience was he was met by an angel of a beautiful woman and he did not know at the time. He had been adopted but eventually was able to get in contact with his biological family who told him he had a sister who previously died. He had no idea what she looked like but later on after his NDE he was shown a picture of her and to his amazement realized she was the angel with him on his trip to heaven. The link to the short video is below. The debate here is does this case challenge the scientific view that NDEs are hallinations of the dying brain?

Either way, if thats what i'm seeing/feeling when i'm dying... Then its not so bad... Whether it's permanent or not, at least its an amazing experience.

The fact he is a brain surgeon, harvard-educated, and a skeptic at first is more believable than these weirdos like Sylvia Brown.

What I don't understand is why he'd be going to Heaven in the first place, being a skeptic before the coma. With all the 'God' references, I assume he now believes that the God in the Bible is the one true god. If that's the case - if that's really what is true (not that there could be proof either way, hence the whole faith thing) - then he probably wouldn't be heading up to be with his Maker, yeh?

It doesn't matter if he is a brain surgeon, harvard-educated,etc. He was in a coma thus his brain wasn't working like it should be so he just prob had a delusion like all the others.

If it's as great as people say it is, that is a huge relief. I really hope it is..
I'm sure there are some people who have made up stories about it and some who are genuinely sincere.

Maybe the real test would be to compare what people have experienced to an actual hallucinatory experience? Is it similar? Alike? In what ways is it different, if any?

A few months ago I did have a near death experience, but I didn't slip so deeply into it that I experienced anything. All I remember is the...oddly white, not black-ness, of slipping in and out of consciousness. It may have had something to do with the fact that it was in an OR where nearly everything is white and very bright as well. It was the worst experience of my whole life. I hope dying offers something better afterwards because it felt horrible. I wish I could have experienced something great or come back with new knowledge or anything like that, but I'm not one of those people that was dead for x number of minutes, just clinically coding. Having it be a pleasant experience like some people report is really nice because it puts a positive association with what is a traumatic experience, almost like a natural buffer. Either way, whether it's a real experience people go through or a hallucination by your brain, both are a very good protective mechanism for your soul.

Well he was pointing to his brain activity and there was nothing going on, that's why I believe him.

I think if you ask for forgiveness and accept God at your deathbed or at the gates of heaven you are as likely to go to Heaven as someone who "did all the right things" their entire life.

Doing all the right things isn't a free ticket anyway though. I don't claim to know who would or wouldn't be accepted in, just know what I've read from that dusty old book - that not everyone will be 'saved.'

Well if it was a Christian heaven and god is real then god knew he wasn't going to die and just gave him a little nudge in the right direction. I guess. Didn't watch the video yet, just speculating

I have heard so much about her and I know many love her but for some reason Sylvia Brown has been banned from ever again appearing on George Nory's radio program

If you have never actually had one how can you really state that as fact?
