Get tubes in her ears at 6 months old? She goes to the ENT on the 3rd which is the day before she turns 6 months old. She has had 5 ear infections so far and they think she's starting to get another one right now. She has had fluid in her right ear since birth and her left ear almost her entire life as well. Can they do tubes at 6 months of age? If not, will they try something else?

I don't know what the guidelines are now days. When my daughter was ababy she had to have had a total of 9 in a year to qualify, which, IMO is ridiculous.

Her pedi told me the cutoff was the 4th infection in 6 months or fluid in both ears for 3 months or one ear for 6 months and she's dealt with it all.

My dd's dads nephew lol was around 5 months when he had them put in. He had 4 ear infections by 5 months old. But then again he is now like 17 so Idk. Qualifying could have changed since then
