Leilani Allyssa is here!

On december 18th at about 10 pm they started my pitocin I dilated from a 1 to a 4 pretty quickly and then I was stuck at 4cm for hours and the doctor was saying I might have to have a c-section if there is no progress.They broke my water and I got my epidural shortly after that. I slept through most of my labor and whenever I felt strong painful contractions I asked for more epidural and then went back to sleep. My nurse went out for lunch at about the same time around 1pm a different nurse came and checked me and I was at a 10 and ready to push so they called Morgan our nurse back from her lunch break and then they called my O.B. After 2 hours of pushing my beautiful baby girl Leilani Allyssa was born at 2:58 pm 7 pounds 14 oz and 21 inches long!

On dec 21 we were discharged from the hospital but they had me schedule an appointment for the next day to check her Jaundice levels. We went in the next day for her appointment on Dec 22 and her jaundice level was a 14 and she had lost a pound since birth since my milk hadn't come in yet. So I was told I had to supplement with 1 to 2 oz of formula each feeding and she was put on a biliruben light for 3 days and an at home nurse from Children's hospital came to our house to check her levels every morning. Her levels are now back to normal and she is off the biliruben light and she is also back to her birthweight and back to solely breastfeeding!

We all do it..lol!! They grow so fast..so lots of pics help keep the memories for ever. Sounds like she is doing really good.

Haha thanks I didn't think I looked too great, I was exhausted after 2 hours of pushing and could barely sit up to hold her   I had no water weight or swelling my whole pregnancy but my face and my feet blew up like a balloon after deliveryor during labor whichever caused it.

She wears headbands everyday I seriously love etsy that's where I got her crown and her red flower headband!

Ik its like playing dolls again lol only this particular doll cries really loud and wakes me up every 3 hours and makes a bunch of cute faces and has really stinky farts and some nasty diapers! I am so glad I had a girl though they are so much fun!
