Can an ear infection cause

Vomiting? Tristan just walked over to me and threw up all over. I noticed he has been digging at his ears, and the outside are red, and he does seem a bit warm. I have had a ton of ear infections, but I have never vomited with one.

Well, ear infections can affect balance and whatnot, so if he's getting dizzy from that, I would think it could cause vomiting. Call his pedi if you're worried, though.

When I was little I had a lot of drainage and often had ear infections. Sometimes I would throw up because of drainage irritating my throat.

yes, because it can cause dizziness, and dizziness can cause vomitting.

also.. most ear infections are viral.. could be a virus that caused both.
