At my shop the minimum is $60 so basically any little stars, names, dates, symbols etc that will take 30 minutes or under are $60. No tattoo is ever under $60, even if they wanted one little dot that would take 2 seconds it would be $60. The rate is $120 an hour and almost anything is going to cost $100 and up.

That's insane that you got that for $100. It would be at least $300-$400 where I work.

I can't remember how much I paid for the one on my forearm... $165? He gives us a deal since he knows us. The tattoo should've been about $300.

The one on my back is Smurf. I smurfing hate it. I got it in remembrance for my grandma who passed away. It's crooked and the words don't even align right. Paid $75 for it. Because he was cheap, but I thought all artists were good   So young and naive

See, I'd like the ones on my chest if they actually matched!
I went to two different artists, so the guy who did the one on the left had a hard time (for some reason, it's not really brain surgery) duplicating the style of the other one. And it's higher >_< I plan on getting them covered up and getting them redone elsewhere (the one on the right is a matching tattoo with my sister, so I have to have that one at least).

Well yeah because it's $120/ hr and that would take a few hours to do. But this is the quality they would get

He free handed that Taurus symbol, it's on my arm.
Most of the pics he has are portraits, here's his portfolio.

Ah yeah I can see where it's messed up a bit :/ That's why I'm so scared to get anything on my chest. My back can easily be covered... my chest? not so much.

This is on my back:

Some of the letters don't connect... like the M in remains, looks like an N up close. The 'but' is slanted downward. It's AWFUL. But I don't know what the hell I would get to cover that up, lol.

IDK only tattoos around her that are really exspensive are portrait tattoos and full sleeves or calfs etc, I know someone who had their whole back done, a giant lion with wings, and it was only like 200 bucks, but that was in the 90's so maybe now (same artist) it would be more.

Butthe shop I go to, is thebest one we have in our area, and we have a few of them anyways, and he only does tattoos for certain ppl now, but his other artists will do anyone, he is just older now and his arthritis is getting bad lo but he is still amazing at doing them.

The artist I go to would have made a stencil via computer.. Was it basically free hand?
