Allergic reaction
posted 29th Dec
I am at my wits end!!!!
Friday I woke up with a severe allergic reaction, my body was covered in hives, my eyes swelled up, and my airway. landed me in the ER.
They gave me epi and prednisone... we came home and I sat on the couch for the evening watching TV while SO washed EVERYTHING, all of our clothes, blankets, sheets towels... in case it was something on any of it. He used the same kind of detergent I've been using for years, All Free and Clear.
By night most of the hives had cleared up, I go to bed and a few moments later I notice my hands and feet are itching and breaking out again!
So I grab my blanket and run out to the couch, I slept on the couch, with the dog curled in my legs (he's tiny) all night, no problem.. I woke up fine.
Which leads me to believe it was something in the bedroom... I mean I've been in the bedroom this past week without having a problem.. so I thougt maybe the bed?
So last night I brought LO in (he fell asleep in the car) and layed him in his bed, I was careful not to touch our bed or anything else.
I touched, LO, LO's blankets, and pulled a pair of LO's PJ pants out of the drawer. (and possibly touched the carpet with my feet, can't remember if I kicked off my shoes by then)
I grab the same PJ pants I wore the night before on the couch (with no problem) that I had tossed on the floor in front of our closet, only touching the carpet, this morning.
I put them on go out to the living room and a few moments later my hips start to itch a little, then i scratch my arms...
My arms, hips, and butt (right under my back pantie line) started breaking out in hives!
When I looked in the mirror it looked like I was breaking out in hives where I had scratched on my hips and arms and my face cheek (I hadn't scratched my butt, don't know how that happened.)
I was freaking out, I had to shower, put on SO's clean tshirt (he had left that load in the living room unfolded) and layed down on the couch and didn't touch a damn thing after that. It cleared up by this morning....
but I am going crazy.... I don't know WTF it is I touched, but I'm wearing rubber gloves right now so whatever I touch doesn't get on my skin!!!!!
I'm going to see an allergist this week, but until then...
I'm just about to break down, I can't even be in my own home.
