re: 28 weeks can I be done yet??

Register for everything and then whatever you don't like or get duplicates of you can return. I never bought anything until after my baby shower.

I'd get the big stuff. Like the carseat, crib, dresser, etc.

I understand being uncomfortable and the excitement of seeing and holding ur baby I'm 30 weeks right now and its starting to fly by.... and for what to buy u want to get the big stuff and at least 1 package of diapers use the registry for items u may need or want some people will go off of ur registry and others will just go buy what they think you will need.

Thank you all   this helps so much, its hard to ask my mom she is always so busy and i feel like such a bug! im just a nervous ftm...lol the baby will be sleeping in my room (in a bassinet) so I think im good on getting furniture cuz its already going to be very cramped!

also, a friend of mine told me to put on my baby shower invitations "bring a package of diapers and you wil be entered into a drawing to win a.... blank...)" her baby girl is 4 months old and she still hasnt ran out of diapers.. does that seem like a good idea or way too much diapers that he will grow out of?

yeah before the 20th of feburary im gonna have it just haven't decided a date or location yet.... matter of fact i haven't even gotten invitations lol im so far behind

It's called the 'diaper game' and don't expect anything, no one is entitle to get you anything. Also I would have your shower earlier.. incase the baby comes early.. plus 38 I wouldn't want to be smiling and opening gifts.

LOL! yeah I don't think I'd have the energy to deal with a bunch of people and fake smiling -_____- where is a good place to have a shower? my mom suggested a resturant but I figured it would be too busy an cramped

I did that for my sister when I hosted her shower. It really helped her out, but I think only 3 people brought diapers, but it was very generous of them. We gave the winner of the drawing a gift card to a store in the mall.

If you get too many of one size you can exchange them at walmart.

If you have a large enough home or we have a really nice reateraunt on the river that has a room you can rent for things like that.
