i HATE when parents neglect their newborn baby

I absolutely hate when parents don't attend to their newborn baby...i mean seriously. its not that hard to get a baby to stop crying..i know...iv'e had a baby with sleep apnea and reflux...despite the crying, theres always ways to settle them...there's better ways than to leave him/her by them self to cry. Dont have fkn babies if you're just going to neglect them. neighbor has been letting their newborn screaaaaam bloody murder for the past hour and a half....i wish i could grab a bat and hit the mother across the head, then cuddle the baby and figure out what he/she wants...sigh. mothering instincts are too strong in me...

Maybe baby has colic? Can you see her neglecting baby or just hear a baby crying?

Errrrrr I had a baby with colic and nothing would make him stop crying but tiring himself out. I held him for 3-4 hours every night while he screamed and there was nothing I could do to soothe him. You don't live with them, so don't assume they're bad parents just because their baby is crying.

Is she a first time mom? maybe she's just overwhelmed

Well damn me, I didn't know that I was just a lazy, neglectful parent when I had a newborn with awful colic who would literally scream every second she was awake, which were usually 3-5 hour stretches. Too bad she didn't have you to come beat me up and give her the magic touch.

I've had times where my babies are inconsolable and had to walk around the house with them screaming nonstop and I wasn't neglecting them. Sometimes there's just nothing you can do to calm them down

Judgemental much? You clearly dont know whats going on other than the baby is crying. Maybe he/she has colic? Maybe they are having a horrible night? Maybe they have a fever? Maybe theyre sick?

Mycousin has night where she will scream and scream and scream no matter what we do to sooth her. Shes a colic baby.

If the baby is being fed, has a place to sleep, is changed regularly, and isn't beaten, it's not neglectful or abusive. Some people are just not coddlers. *shrug*. You don't know that they're not trying to soothe the baby. Unless you're peeping on them... which would be weird.

I can see how that might be annoying, but not neglectful.
