Would you be irritated?

This is what went down for me today. Dh went to work, I woke up sooo sick. I have been coughing so hard all day that I throw up and/or pee myself. My ribs, abdomen and back are killing me just from coughing. I'm achy and exhausted. I got up with Hailey, got her dressed, helped her clean her room, and so on. I made dinner. Dh got home from work with the script my doc called in. I took some. It's promathazine with codiene so it makes me feel... Weird. I lay down but can't sleep so go eat dinner with everyone. I'm groggy and out of it. Dh goes to the bathroom for the second time. I get in the shower to breathe steam. He asks me to put Hailey in so he doesn't have to bathe her. He was supposed to get up and get her out, but no, he's asleep. At 7 o'clock. I got her ready for bed and to sleep. He didn't budge. I had asked him to put away dinner. Nope, not done. I had to go do that, and still take care of myself, all while feeling like crap and being almost 38 weeks pregnant. He is still asleep. The reason he is so tired is because he stayed up too late watching a movie last night. I didn't get any sleep between getting up with Hailey (she wet the bed, then had a bad dream) and coughing, and I just wanted to be taken care of for once, but no. He works tomorrow, too. So I guess same thing then. *sigh*

Sorry, this was a vent more than anything.  

I would have woken his ass up, to be honest with you.

no...i wouldnt have been mad...iv'e been in your situation before...ive just sucked it up and done what i usually do...men do not like helping much... usually it ends up in a pointless never ending fight if i make a stink out of DH not helping sick, or pregnant.

And they gave you the lean pills? Ugh, I HATE those, they gave me them for morning sickness in the beginning of this pregnancy and they made me feel like I was going to die, I decided dealing with the constantly throwing up was better than how the pills made me feel.

It's cough syrup, not pills. But maybe the same thing?

He just would tell me I wasn't. Anytime I've told him I was worried he tells me it's nothing. I'd have to get up, pack, and get in the car before he maybe decided to get ready.  

Screw that I would have thrown snow on Jason and told him to get his ass in the kitchen where he belongs.

It would have been different if he had had a hard day, or he was sick, or something. But he was just up until 1 watching Batman when he knew he had to be up at 6:30. That isn't my fault. On Christmas, he was sick, so he took two naps and just came down for dinner. I cooked the whole dinner (turkey, potatoes, the works) and I asked him to help with Hailey but he didn't. I shrugged it off because he was sick. It's so unfair that when he's sick he gets to relax and I have to do everything I normally do. Also, the cough syrup isn't even really helping.   I'm going to cough the baby out soon!

Thank God I don't have to deal with that. Even if he's sick and a baby, he still does chores. I guess he was REALLY bad one morning and I had no idea and he still got up with Rory like normal and let me sleep. I didn't know until the next day, when I found out I let him rest up.

Lol, that's what I was thinking, too. It's not even really too early. I just wouldn't want to make baby sick.  

And I just don't understand. He was even in a good mood when he got home.

I'm not saying this to disrespect you, but he sounds like a selfish prick from some stuff you say.

He can be. We have good times and bad. He really is very self centered though. It's how his whole family is. He has no empathy and always seems to think of his needs first. It's weird, because my family is the opposite. I have tried explaining it to him, but he doesn't seem to get it.

Jason can really be too which is weird be he spent his life putting his family ahead of himself. His comes out in he hates to be bothered with stuff that's "inconvenient" to him. Like he gets frustrated Irvine ask him to change a diaper when he is doing something, or if I'm working on something and Rory cries and I ask him to see to him.
