Pumping after a preemie.

Ok, I obviously cannot do skin to skin or hold her as much as I would like to, but my supply is going to hell. Ive slacked off on pumping and eating right due to stress and trying to get more sleep. I took 2 fenugreek pills last night and got 1oz this morning from both. Tonight... little over half an oz from both.

Im working on getting it back up and im gonna be pumping more no matter how stressed or busy I get.. but what can I do to help?

Whats a good amount to start on fenugreek pills and mothers milk tea?

I need ALL the help I can get!

3 pills 3x a day. Then adjust from there. U should be sweating maple syrup. Drink so much water you'll wanna puke. Otherwise it'll dehydrate the crap out of you and make your supply worse. And quit slacking on pumping. Soon enough it'll pay ff and shell be coming home on the breast mama. I know it's hard   I wish I was there to help encourage you.

Yeah, I knew the slacking was gonna hurt me but I have a hard time organizing my life with stress... I tend to focus on cutting the stress and not the other things too and here I am. Im gonna go make some tea and I will try the 3pills 3x's a day thing for a starter. Im just almost to the point of asking for a rX to help out :/

I was hesitant about Reglan because theres a risk of depression as a side effect but ive never had an issue with it before.

Yeah that's the downside.   they're fenugreek and tea first. If you're still struggle after a week or so talk to your dr about it.

She is doing amazing. 3lbs, 15 ozs.. and just amazing. Shes been taking a whole bottle at least twice a day for 2 days now.. (whole bottle being 34mLs) and hopefully soon she will be put in a regular bed and not an isolette.

Omg she is a champ!!! She looks amazing mama!!! My dr just told me today she's glad I'm having a girl cause girls do better in the nicu for some reason. So good thing we got us some girlies

Indeed! Shes doing so well with no problems what-so-ever. We have very few apnea spells but im sure thats because shes hasnt been pooping ever 24 hours like they want, and she holds her breath.. lol

Are you expecting to have yours early?

Yeah. I started hospitalization today. We're hoping to make it to 35 weeks. But maybe sooner if an emergency arises (god forbid).

awwww bummer!   Hospitals are NO fun. I was in for 2 weeks before Emily came.. but you'll have much better luck being farther along!

Yeah, Only got up to stretch once in a while, shower, and go potty.

Having my laptop helped.. I was on FB a lot.. played games, watched movies/ LOTS of tv... if you have a good book around, READ! .. lol. Catch up on sleep.... Its definitely hard being in bed for so long!
