Sippy Cup?

posted 28th Dec
I am kind of planning ahead here because while i have the money i figured I would get some more baby items out of the way. So my question is when did you baby get introduced to the sippy cup? (I see at stores some that are 6+ and 4-12+months) So im just curious when everyone else started sippy cups? And which sippy cup did you use and/or would recomend.

BTW my son is 4 months
Please do not mind any spelling errors, grammar problems, run on sentences and so forth. Thanks in advanced for some help.

another question. Do you just put formula/breastmilk in the sippy cup from then on or do you use both bottle for formula/breastmilk and sippy cup for juice water and stuff? Sorry FTM have no clue about any of this.

We gave ds the nuk ones at 6 months. I think they're 5 ozs. Now he takes the Disney ones at 9.5 months great.

We started dd on sippy when she could hold her own bottle. We got a Playtex "My first sipster" or something like that!

3 months for all 3 kids. I did a month of nuk sippies then went to straw cups by munchkin for my now 10.5 month old. She only takes straw sippies and no bottles at all since 8ish months old.

I introduced sippy cups at 6 months... I got rid of all bottles and moved to only sippies at 11 months old.

My DD never had a bottle to go to sleep. None of my kids did. She always went down like an HR or longer after a bottle lol

I lay her in awake and she puts herself to sleep pretty much instantly. And has since she was born.

we do the cup @ 4 months and use the Advent first cup...its fabulous. I also like the Nuk soft tip ones for when they get a little older. I do breastmilk/formula in them. Also, I don't put my kids to bed with a bottle/cup but I would assume both would work the same way.

So you can put formula in sippy cups? I wasnt exactly sure because i knew you werent supposed to put juice in a bottle but didnt know what can or can not go in sippy cups. When i mentioned introducing the sippy cup at 6 months to my mom she was confused and made me feel like i wasnt supposed to put formula in there. I guess things have changed a lot over the years.

We started our son on sippy cups at 4 1/2 months when we had started him on rice cereal and I only give him some water in it since he refuses to take any expressed breast milk in it. He likes the soft tips and the hard tip sippy cups, so we use both lol. The first kind he tried was soft tip and I believe it was NUK.
