I don't know with tricare but clomid is only 8 bucks a cycle at Walmart with no insurance

I don't think clomid is that expensive if they don't cover it. Good luck OP. for clomid you shouldn't need any special screening. Usually just ttc for over a year and talking with the dr is enough. But u may need to track cycles and ovulation and stuff. But those can be for health reasons not just ttc purposes.

They do cover testing and pills and such. Just not IVF I believe

Yeah I remember Clomid is cheap. I'm more concerned about progesterone being covered. Even with insurance (BCBS) it's over $150.

Both DH and I are infertile. He takes Clomid every day, I just take it when doing IUI. Right now our next step is IVF, I know Tricare doesn't pay for IVF but I was wondering what if any services related to IVF they cover?

Just a 30 day supply of suppositoires!! I dread having to buy Clomid.. I haven't totaled it up but this year alone with the infertility testing, OPKs and HPTs, medication and IUIs we've spent around 3k. My RE always had me go through his pharmacy that is super expensive. My Clomid is $35 though them.

Another concern of mine is, would the military let DH take Clomid every day for his fertility issue. My assumption would be no.

PIO costs around $45 for a two week vial at Apothecary By Design.

Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but Tricare covered my progesterone pills. They were Prometrium prescribed by a (Crappy, unknowledgeable) Nurse Practitioner who was supposedly helping me get pregnant. Didn't work for me, but they covered it. Not sure if it's because she prescribed them as opposed to a fertility specialist or if it's because what I was taking was different than what you are needing. Hope that helps a bit.

Not sure about ivf but my progesterone suppositories are covered every 30 days, filled by the on post pharmacy. Good luck!
