How do you get someone to stop smoking?

My fiance smokes & I don't mind it except if he hasn't had it he is really cranky and basically an ass a lot, & ALL his money goes toward that.
Were getting married, I feel like he should get his priorities straight.
Is there anyway I could help him stop, any suggestions on how to make it easy?

Cigarettes, or pot?

its going to be difficult if he doesnt want to stop.. he needs to have some will power. but he can try chewing gum, rolling up sticky notes and holding those, pretending to even puff on them.. but youll have to be understanding and deal with the crankyness while hes trying to cut back and quit

He won't stop until he's ready and if you bring it up you're just going to annoy him. It took getting pregnant (twice) to get me to quit. I just hid it whenever my husband would start to complain

he has to want to. the way he is when he isn't high is his true personality. my SO is the same way. i tell him to smoke but he never will anymore. SO says to tell him to have a drink instead.

Maybe get a good e cig. It still costs money...for the juice...but probably not as much as a pack a day, ya know?

Does he read? There is a book and 4 out of 5 of my aunts read it a quit smoking the day they finished it. I believe it is on Amazon.

I deal with the crankyness all the time, I want to be there for him obviously. I've tried so many things but no matter what he goes back to that. He's addicted, & it's stressful on both of us.. & I don't like it ( smoking ) just because of the money, I don't want it around my daughter. ( not bashing anybody who smokes that has kids ) I just prefer to keep it away.

All you can really do is just support him and no pressure him into quitting.

he is not addicted.

My SO try'd to stop so many times. he finally stopped right before our daughter turned 2 he didnt want her to remember him smoking. He stopped my picking up a good book and reading.
