Making curtains.

So, I'm going to make curtains for LO's room, I got the fabric for it.



The Cars one on the front and the white on the back. My question is, do I need anything in between, or will these two be thick enough to keep the light out when need be?

Put the 2 together and hold it near the window, or a light. Does it shine through?

depends on where his room is in relation to the sunlight you get. i might put something darker on the back, or some batting between... idk, though. i have never made curtains. lol.

Are either of them a bottom weight?

They'll help keep light out, but if they're both lightweight then it won't be a total blocker.

It doesn't need to totally block the light out, just dim enough for when he naps.

They are both light weight. Pretty thin.

The room will have light shining in, but at sun down only, really, so I guess it won't matter too much.

What kind of batting could I get? Do they make it in sheets?

They make special light blocking backing (the white one) in diffent blocking levels. I have light and airy ones in DD room so I also put blinds in to darken the room. Cute fabric

Yeah we have blinds up, too. So I think this will be okay, what I already have, right?

I think you'll be alright. Her room faces direct east so the morning light comes right to her room. It stays pretty dark and I really have just a single layer light white girly curtain  Yay on a good find!!
