What do you think when you see these quotes?

"There is nothing good in me except Christ."
or
"I am nothing without Christ."

I think they love Christ.

They seem a little creepy

Like the ONLY reason this person is "good" is cause of christ.

That first one doesn't sit well with me

It makes me sad for them.

I'm a whole, individual person outside of my faith and I'm not only a good person because of my love for/fear of my gods.

The person must be very religious.

I find many religious quotes, passages and excerpts from the bible to be creepy. I took a Christian World View class for my degree and I was the only non-Christian in the class. I always felt bad for the people that believed in what was being talked about   When listing things in order of priority Jesus was always #1, above family and friends-I am sorry, but that is NOT right. JMO. I am just different from them so oh well.

I see a weak person who needs something bigger to make them feel valuable.

My honest un PC answer? The owner of that quote is a wacko.

My polite answer? They believe that Jesus is the end and the beginning, and strive to believe that they are nothing compared to him.

There's a saying similar to that in my religion. It goes basically, "Anything good in me is from God, anything bad is from myself." We say it when someone gives us a super huge compliment. I can agree with it because from a creationist standpoint, God is the creator of all of mankind, and if you believe in him, then you can't exist with him having created you.
