Introducing Mister Holden.

Born at 10:29 am on 12/28/2012. Weighing 6 lbs 14 oz, and he is 20 inches long.

My labor story:

After having my membranes swept the day before and having what was the beginning of my bloody show, I called my mom to come over. She came and we went eat Mexican food, because I HAD to have tamales. Then we went to Walmart to pick up some Mucinex for SO. Went home, went to bed around 9. At 11:05 am I rolled over to get more comfy and felt a big gush of fluids, I tried to hold in what I thought was my urine and rush to the bathroom I gushed for 3 minutes. I thought there is no way this is pee. So I smelt it. No not pee, SO asked if I was okay being I was gone so long. I told him my water broke and showed him the puddle. I immedietely began having contractions. I got to the hospital around 12:00. The lady at admittance must have been new because it took 10 minutes of me leaking everywhere to get a room in Triage. After finally getting in Triage, I had to wait 45 minutes to be seen.   Pissed and in pain I waited. They confirmed it was my water and I was dilated to 1cm. 1 hour later, after being started on pitocin I was dilated to 3 cm. I got my epidural. Which was god sent. 2 hours later I was 5 cm. Another 2 hours I was still 5 cm but the baby had dropped and was now engaged. Baby heartbeat was dropping too much during contractions I had to be put off pitocin. I was told I would not progress without it. Discouraged, I waited. An hour later I was 7 cm. Another hour passed and I was 10 cm and ready to go. After 11 hours of labor and 30 minutes of pushing, Holden was born. SO pulled the baby out and cut the cord. He was gleaming with pride as soon as he saw his first son. Instant love. I was given the baby and he laid with me for an hour then I breastfed him. He's currently doing great. I tore a bit, and I'm a bit sore but we're doing great! I'm so happy he's here!

Congrats! I'm so happy to see a labor story not ending in emergency C-section. So glad everything went Idk? Smoothly? Can't believe the hospital and making you wait. I'm so jealous. I can't wait for my baby girl!

I was scared I might have to have one. I'm so glad things went as well as they did. Right? I was pissed. lol And leaking everywhere for so long I was worried. lol She'll be here soon momma

Lol if they made me wait I'd take a nice long leaky walk through EVERYWHERE. I'm a spiteful bitch especially if I were in labor. The hell?! Lol.
