help with 'collections' (not the money type lol)

I do not know what I am having yet, but one of my biggest worries is what our second child will have as great as our sons coin collection.

My son is 3 and has TONS of coins from the Canadian Mint. Some are worth a lot of money and go up as time goes by, some are just memorabilia types, and some are from the countries we've been too...its pretty extensive for a 3 year old, I can just imagine what it will be like when hes grown.

SO...if we have another boy...what will we do just as special for him.

If we have a girl I was thinking we could do many things, like swarovski jewls, snow globes, dolls etc.

Any cool ideas? boy or girl?

I collected porcilien dolls (sp?), post cards, and beanie babies...

SO collects coins, rocks, and baseball cards.

Other things:
Stamps
Cabbage Patch Dolls
Bottle Tops
Pocket Knifes
Swords ((Obviously not until he is older!))

Waldorf dolls, theyre all unique and theyre expensive.

They all look different its up to the person that makes it, you can buy a kit and make a custom one yourself, I think the style of their faces is supposed to be like how they were WAY back in the day.

collect paper money, over seas cash from different states is very colorful and fun looking, some of them even have animals on them. You could have him collect dollars from every country, US 2 dollar bills are always cool, that way one son collects coins and the other cash

all boxed up and with papers. I dont know if we could get bills in the same fashion KWIM?

currency is super collectible even bills you could absolutely find people auctioning them on ebay and stuff that are framed and mounted with documentation. Like bills that had a mistake on it so theyre really rare or discontinued super old use bills. Or you could try and get a dillar from every country in the world and frame or laminate each one. To me thats cooler than a fancy coin... now I want to do it!
