re: Washing a smoker's clothing separately. Discuss and debate.

posted 28th Dec
Well, anyone who just "shoved everything in" would bug me.

I'd tell him to keep his smurf separate, throw an extra pod in-or I'd smurf him up. But seriously. washing the clothes together is fine---he just needs to learn how to wash clothes period.

Quoting *~Jada~*:" He smokes quite a bit. a pack-pack and a half per day. If he's stressed he'll smoke more. His work clothes ... [snip!] ... His work clothes never come fully free of the smell. He doesn't smoke in the house or my car. Only in his car and outside."

could it be your washing machine? seriously, i have never had a problem getting the smell out. i wash my husbands work clothes seperate but he works in a kitchen, so they smell like food and that smell truly will never come out. but cigarrettes should be coming out. that is weird. i would just tell him to either do it by the seperated piles or dont help. and thank him for at least trying. use liquid fabric softner and dryer sheets this may help also.
