re: Water birth

We could have left around then, too...but DH was passed out and I could not wake him up   We got to the hospital around 2 am he was born at 3:21. i think we left the hospital at 9. or we were home at 9. its so fuzzy now because i hadnt slept in over 24 hours and we left straight to get our older two sons.

i sure hope it all works out. it seems like a very memorable expierence.. im going to see if any one on my spouses page has given birth that way at this hospital.. maybe see how it was for them.  

my first i was induced.. went in easter sunday at 8 and didnt have her til 1046 am monday and i torn in a Y shape up my cervix because of the catheter and other monitors they had on her. i went from 1.5cm to 10 in less than 20 mins. she was stuck and where she was stuck was where the cords were and it ripped me on the way out :/ so im terrified of that again. i got a TON of stitches

and i didnt leave the hospital til the following wed... she had horrible jaundice.

I have had three water births . I love the tub. To me it helps me relax inbetween contractions so that all my energy goes into the contractions themselves. Laboring in the tub is sooooo much better IMO. My hubby has been in the tub with me for the birth all three times and caught all three of our girls. I went to a free standing birth center with a huge tub so I was able to deliver on my knees leaning over the tub which is much better then on my back ( I delivered my first this way). I highly recommend water births. I'm planing a fourth this summer.

thats how i wold try first actually.. would be on my knees...
im pretty sure he change his mind... well i would hope so :/
its his first child... DD is from a previous relationship... i dont thik hes even changed a diaper. lol

I planned to labour in the tub, I really hated it I couldn't move or get comfy, I was so hot it was unbelievable lol.
The shower worked a treat but ended up with an epidural after 6 & half hours of intense back labour.
