POOPY!! HELP!!

help! My 2 1/2 month old has been pooping a dark green color with a clay like consitency and the smell has changed as well. He used to poop once every day and his poop was just like mustard. And since yesterday he has pooped like 4 times. Has this happened to anyone?? And if so what did the doc say???

Are you breastfeeding? If so it could mean that he is getting too much foremilk. Try pumping a little out before putting him on the breast.

Have you changed anything about his diet (or yours if you are breastfeeding)? That's usually the cause of a change in poopy habits. Since it doesn't sound like diarrhea and he is pooping I wouldn't be too concerned. If it turns into diarrhea and he's doing it several times a day then you might want to ask your doc.

It sounds like previously he had normal BF poop (I am assuming.). Has he had anything introduced in the last few days? Including any medicines? Most of the time green poop happens after they ingest something blue or purple.

Well he has been breatfed and formula fed since he was born, and im worried because his appetite seemed to decrease this week and he has been sleeping less than he used too.... Can hind milk cause that as well?

I'll try that,   but im still worried.... What other symptoms are present when they are getting to much foremilk?

This can be a result of a hindmilk/foremilk imbalance. A true imbalance is rare. It is often seen accompanying a forceful letdown. Lactation consultants will help moms find a nursing pattern which works to combat this problem. If letdown it too forceful in the early weeks, the solution can be to allow milk to leak into a cloth diaper during letdown, then latch baby back on. Feeding two to three times off the same side may also show improvement. Caution should be used with same side feeding as it can decrease supply.
