Cervix pain with Mirena

I got the Mirena IUD on August 1st so I've had it for a little over 4 months now. Up until recently I haven't had a single problem with it. The past few days I've been cramping and having sex is extremely uncomfortable and even somewhat painful. I'm not due for my monthly for another week-2 weeks so that's not it and I'm not pregnant (I took a test 2 days ago). But I just checked my strings (which is really hard to do because they are VERY short) and when I touched my cervix it hurt just like it does when my husband and I have sex, so obviously that's where my pain is coming from. So my question is does anyone know why my cervix could be hurting? Is it from my Mirena? Could it be falling out or something? It makes me really nervous and I kind of want it taken out and that's what everyone so far has said I should do but I can't afford birth control and we don't want another baby for 2-3 years (not to mention I'm horrible at remembering to take pills). Any input is appreciated and TIA!

I had it whenever DH and I had sex. My dr told me it was normal and that some women just have sensitive cervixs. I had it taken out a couple months later and had paraguard put in. NO PAIN.
