Clean Eating?

It has been noted that... I am chubby and tired of it! Lol. I am sick of being a size 14. Of feeling unattractive and having no confidence in myself at all.

I feel that many things need to change to fix that, but one of them is eating better.

Who does clean eating? What recipes do you like? Any suggestions on how to go about all of this?

SO isn't all on board with everything, but he needs to be. We need to do this together, haha.

Basically you don't eat anything out of a box or bag. You can do frozen veggies though just nothing in a sauce of pre-prepared. Lots of whole grains (real briwn rice not instant, 100% wheat bread or sprouted bread). I do a lot of stir fry, while grain pastas with homemade sauce (so I can control the sugar and salt contents). I like to make Indian food too.

My aunt is doing it. She is vegetarian too. She has her meals scheduled and eats mainly organic, all from scratch! She's lost 30 lbs since starting it a couple months ago!

Does she have any recipes she likes? My family is full of picky eaters   I need more ways to get all of us to eat better.

I've been trying to buy better things, and it forces them to eat better. Haha.

I've seen SO & DD snacking on celery sticks and things like that instead of chips and cookies and the like. Been trying to cook homemade things (be that it might not necessarily be the healthiest stuff) to avoid going to fast food. Originally this was in an attempt to save money, but in all reality we need it for the health aspect too.


So - Nothing from a bag or box. (Frozen veggies okay.)
What about canned things? Are those terrible too? I love green beans, but I know they have a lot of salt in them too. Fruits and such also?

More whole grains (breads and pasta) and try making homemade sauces?

Any recipes for homemade sauces?

I use canned veggies sometimes, when I do I get the ones with no salt added.
