I know a little boy named Bryer and his sister is Bristol

Both & I like it...immediately, I think of Briar Rose (Sleeping Beauty) but, I also think Briar Rabbit and I'm pretty sure he was a boy.

Its a pokey thing....lol but I would say boys name..

I thought boy when I first read it.

I was liking it for a boy and wondering if it would be too girly. I would use it on either but dh likes it for a boy. I was getting mixed answers on name websites

i have a 1 month old cousin who's name is Briar Wayne. and i know another little boy name Briar (brother name is Ledge) so i'd say boy.

I always thought a twin set named Aurora and Briar Rose would be cute, lol.

It's a word, so it can go either way, it's one of the very, very few I don't have a gender preference for, but I DO NOT think it is too girly for a boy at all!
