I experienced something similar to this in the form of a spinal during my c-section.
I felt like someone was sitting on my chest and had a full fledged panic attack and blacked out. It was awful. Had to be given Versed.
OB is sedating me this time, thankfully.

i was induced recently. they gave me something to thin my cervix and i waited 12hrs but it didnt work, and then they gave me foley balloon catheter. i'll be honest it hurt but they had a few options on things that i could take for the pain. i was terrified when i went in to get induced, but it really isn't all that bad. everything just kind of feels weird. wish you the best of luck  

yeah i am really freaked out after reading all these replies. lol i really am so impatient & thats why im taking the induction. but im worried about forcing my baby out because of her still sitting high up. im just praying that everything goes smoothly. this is my first baby so im pretty terrifed to begin with & i dont want pain medication or the epidural. i want it all naturaly. i wanna be in control of myself and my body.

My baby was always really high and I had no problems. But I did cave and get the epidural 20 hours in. I wanted to go all natural. I was devastated that I had to be induced. But in the end all that matters is a healthy baby.

I was 40 weeks and 5 days. No dilation. Induced and she arrived 7 hours later

goodluck with induction then. i was 120% against the epi..and i got it..the contraction are terrible and then they keep upping the pitocin. my contractions were 2 mins apart immediately..so after 6 hours i caved. go in with an open mind.

if this is your first baby, it could take a while. my cervix was not favorable, and took forever to get favorable. total induction lasted 4 days.

with my second baby, another induction, but my cervix was soft and anterior...still, 40 hours of labor. baby did not wanna come down!!

labor is gonna hurt whether its natural or induced. main thing to rmember is to be patient.


side note: my second baby was delivered 31 hours after my water broke and i ended up with a terrible infection. be aware that things may not go the way you want, and the main goal is healthy baby and mom, i was so determined not to have a csec, i ended up very ill. best of luck to you!!!
