Nose spray while pregnant

Are there any medicated nose sprays safe to take while pregnant? Saline isn't doing the trick... I've called my OB but sometimes it takes forever for them to call me back, I've had them not call back before too.

I had HORRIBLE trouble breathing when I was pregnant with my first and all I found that was safe to use was saline, but eventually, my doctor allowed me to use Afrin later into my pregnancy. BUT I got his approval FIRST before using it because you're really not supposed to use anything other than saline. Afrin worked WONDERS! I could breathe within 5 minutes! But it's highly addictive so they don't allow you to take it for more than 2 days   Sorry - but you're going to HAVE to get your doc's approval for this one

You're welcome!   And yeah, 10 weeks is probably going to be a no   Sorry! Hang in there!

You could probably ask a pharmacist if your OB won't get back to you. I ask questions all the time at the Wal-mart pharmacy. They usually know what is safe during pregnancy for over the counter meds. If you need a script, you will obviously have to talk to your Dr, otherwise pharmacists are a lot of help  

How many times a day can I use the neti pot? And can you use icks while pregnant? I'm tired of not being able to breathe out my nose at night.
