re: my usual laundry

don't judge me, lol it took a while to convince MYSELF that it was ok, trust me, the jeans/sweatpants/stretchy pant/tshirts/sweatshirts don't wrinke that bad!  

I absolutly hate doing laundry. but most of the time i end up washing it and then it sits in the baskets until i realize that my laundry has piled up to the ceiling and end up folding it and putting it away.

I have baskets of laundry all clean all of the time   I shove them in the back of my closet     When DH comes home I try to get them done then, but that never really happens because I try to spend as much time with him as possible so I usually just get half of it done   My priorities are my house outside of my room and laundry, and by the time I'm done with those I am too tired to deal with my room or laundry. *sigh*

By no means am I saying your lazy OP (or anyone for that reason) but I've learned that if you wash a load or two a day and fold a load or two a day, it doesn't take no time at all to keep clothes cleaned AND organized. I mean, while your cleaning house a load can be going. Then when your on your little "break" you can sit down, watch tv, and fold clothes. It literally takes me no longer than 10 mins to fold a dryer full. And NO ONE can use the excuse, "but we go through so many clothes a day, I just don't have time to have them all cleaned"... that's completely BS LOL. Between me, so, and our 5 kiddos that we have all together we can fill up a hamper in a day, no lie. After school they change out of their school clothes to put play clothes on, or if they are riding fourwheelers/dirtbikes then they have separate clothes for that. Then SO has his work clothes, going out clothes, and then dirtbike/fourwheeler clothes. SO it's NOTHING for all of us to change out of clothes 2 and 3 times a day.

mine too, my son has sensitivies to dust mites, so my cleaning routine seems to have trippled, clean laundry piles in my room while I am steam cleaning the rest of the house and keeping dishes clean so we have things to eat off of, lol.

We have one closet in a two bedroom apartment so yeah we can't hang all of our clothes up lol. A lot of our clothes go into small dressers.Most of my aundry is cloth diapers, which take up two drawers. That being said our oldest is wearing underware today so that won' last too much longer.

WOW that would be alot of laundry. Ive tried doing a load or 2 each day and folding it but its hard when you work too. And i dont let DF do the laundry. I can seperate everything and somehow he just mixes the laundry together. and washes a load that way. and he always forgets it in the washer and by the time i start laundry IDK how long the load was sitting in the washer i end up having to rewash it. So i try to get most of my laundry done on my day off (once a week) with an extra load or 2 during the week.

I know I am not lazy, So I am not offended at all  

with 5 kids, changing 2x a day, you simply CAN NOT afford to not wash/dry/put away everyday, you would drown in laundry!! lol

Exactly, the longest I have gone without washing clothes was 3 days because we were just that down right busy and trying to keep 4 of the 5 kids occupied. We had 5 (3ft baskets) FULL. That's including towels and wash rags. For some reason no one knows how to hang the towel and re-use it. It's a lot of work, but I always try and stay on top of things. When SO's boys are in school though, they stay at their moms 90% of the time on the weekdays, so that helps a ton.

I have a 2 and 3 yo, they are responsible to helping me sort clothes into piles, (his and hers) and putting the sleepies in the right drawer, again, his and hers.

lol I get up for work at 6:30 and by the time I get home its 7 or 8 pm. Only time I have for laundry is weekends and its take the grace of God to get me up and doing it.

I do laundry once a week.... with 4 kids it's a TON. but I wash it all, dry it all, and bring up baskets. THe kids fold and separate while watching TV, then we all put it away. IT doesn't take THAT long. They were HIGHLY resistant at first... but after making each of them do ALL their own laundry a few times... were much more compliant with helping fold and put away.

This is exactly what I do...when I go to bed my dryer is empty and my washer has our towels, washcloths, and the clothes we were wearing before baths. When I wake up i switch them over, start a new load of jammies and bed clothes. I consider folding time a quick break. We usually have 3 loads a day and I keep them all done.

3 loads a day! I almost choked on my coffee!!
I have a 1500 gallon water tank that costs me 8cents a gallon to fill up, we have water delivered via water truck, so I am careful how much laundry gets produced around here, I am a stickler to make sure towels get hung up on the hooks, or by the woodstove, and you get out of your jammies before breakfast so we can wear them again!
