SPinal Block
posted 28th Dec
So I had a spinal with my emergency c section with my DS. I found the spinal to be the scariest most painful part lol. They had to stick me 6 times because they kept missing and I was freaking out. I'm hoping that experience sucked so much bc it was emergency.
My new baby will be due in March, and Im pretty scared of the spinal. Is it that bad in an emergency situation? I see some people just blowing it off like nothing. AM I being a baby? lol

it's not at bad if it's in a planned situation, though they still had to stick me a few times (not planned, but also not an emergency)

Mine was a planned situation and I honestly thought it was the easiest part of her delivery. I remember dreading it and then asking the nurse, "Is he going to get the needle?" and apparently, he had already inserted the block and I never felt it.

got stuck twice with mine (planned). Turns out that I have a slight scoliosis which made it a little more difficult. My doctor held my had the whole time and kept me calm through it. I think staying calm can help out a lot Good luck to you mama

Mine was planned but the twins came early, though still wasn't a emergency so they were able to take their time. They got it in on the first try it just felt like a tiny pinch.
