when can you find out

So I went to the drs yesterday and they scheduled me and ultrasound to measure the baby again I asked..the nurse if they will be able to tell me the gender when I go in im 15 Weeks.and 2 dayswhen they see me ill be 16 Weeks the.nurse told.me.no I have to be.20 Weeks that they wont be a le to tell, im a little confused because im hearing everyone telling me they found out when they were around 15 Weeks or more so can it just be my Dr or what?

I'm due June 19th (a boy), have 1 child & live in Fullerton, California

They took an educated guess for me before 18 weeks, but told me they'd need to do another to "make sure".

I found out at 16 weeks, a lot of elective ultrasound places will tell you as early as 15 weeks. You can ask the u/s tech to check!

With my second son I found out at 17 weeks. It was definitely a penis no question about it.

I should just ask the tech then right? Would the nurse have.anything to do with it?

I found out at 15w but i had a 4d ultrasound

ask the ultrasound tech if you have a nice one just ask if he/she can give you a guess
i got a guess at 12 weeks
n she confirmed it at 17 weeks
it all depends on who does your ultrasound
with my son i didnt find out till 24 weeks n i had the same dr as i do now but they changed a lot of things so i was able to find out sooner this time
it doesnt hurt to ask

I think it's easier to tell if it's a boy sooner. But around that time they usually tell you a "guess" by looking at it until you're about 20 and they confirm. I foun out at 21.

I was scheduled for my next appointment on the 7th of January, and I'll only be 16 weeks 2 days. I asked my doctor if he could do a sonogram, and he told me no because he does it between 18-20 weeks. So I just rescheduled for a couple weeks later! Better than waiting another month! So that could be an option for you.

They told me for sure at 16 weeks my LO was a girl, and so far at every ultrasound since she still is!
