He left work because he was bored? That is incredibly irresponsible!

I don't really think it's that big of a deal, yea I would have been irritated but thats it.

I wouldn't have gone and gotten him, at least not DURING time I was spending with my parents. I would have THOUGHT about going AFTER our plans were concluded, but not during. My SO doesn't particularly like his job all the time, but he can't leave when he feels like it...he works on a boat and is currently in Trinidad.
