30 Weeks *Bloody Show* (sorry tmi)

Hi ladies well im 30weeks pregnant and i have been having alot of problems with this pregnancie i get progesterone shots weekly because i have been having alot of preterm symptoms and over the weekend im pretty sure i lost my mucus plug. Well i just got out of the hospital (Maternity) yesterday because i was having contractions every 2-5 minutes, My lower back was really hurting, i foundout im 1cm & 40% thinned out already and the baby is Low. Anyway Early Thursday Morning i went pee and when i wiped there was a BUNCH and i mean ALOT of bright Red Mucusy discharge but it was also just like period blood. well then about 45mins later i went again and wiped and there was a bunch more & then after it was just like yellowish with bright red mucus. Now i told the nurses and they seen is also and said it was probally from being checked but could of been my bloody show. What do you ladies think?? do you think it was my bloody show?? i mean there was alot. Im still cramping and that they told me to keep an eye on it when they sent me home. But im just nervous that was my bloody show and i will be going into labor. And another question how long after looseing your bloody show did you go into labor?? thanks again ladies   please no bashing just curious!!  

If you are contracting every 2-5 minutes, I'd already be up at the hospital.

No i was in the hospital contracting every 2-5 mins, they sent me home yesterday afternoon because they got them under control and they were more spaced out and werent regular and they gave me a steriod shot & sent me home and told me to watch them. Im not contracting every 2-5 mins now only a few here and there more like BH now they arent regular. I was wondering if that was my bloody show or could of it just been being checked??

I lost my mucus plug at 29 weeks ams then had extreme lower back pain and some contractions, went into the labor and delivery and they monitor me, they released me saying I was having some contractions but if I have more than 4 an hour (like 6) to come back... Your mucus plug and re-make it self in 2 days...so unless your water breaks, more painful contractions, relax and good luck

Sounds like it could be a mixture of both. I am in same boat as you. Been in and out of the hospital this pregnancy due to early labor. Started at 33 weeks though. They gave me 3 shots to stop contraction and 2 shots of roids for the baby to develop. I've gone in at least 4 more times since then for various reasons, not always labor, but found that again, I was in early labor. Yay, more shots. I've not had the blood in my mucus though. It's always been clear until this morning. It yellow which bothers me a bit. Never known the mucus plug to change color like that so quick. Being that I was losing some yesterday and it was again, clear. The cramping, ZOMGOSH, sucks. I've been cramping for a weeks now. However, on the 24th, I had no progress. When my hubby made me go on the 26th, I was 1 cm and 50% effaced. The cramping went away for a lil but is now back. Especially when I stand up and/or walking around. What about you? Are you cramping all the time or does it come a go or what? I really don't want to have her right now. I'm only 36 weeks, 5 days and everyone in my house is sick. It sucks!

yes it does suck i had my last baby at 35weeks 4days and she is only 8months old i got pregnant right after having her almost like a month after. I have been having tons of problems i was in the hospital 3 weeks ago having contractions about 4-5 an hour and having alot of pressure and cramping & high BP AND pulse. and i have been cramping scence then it does come and go. Well i went up to Maternity on Wednesday because i was cramping and my back was really hurting well to make matters worse i slipped and fell on my butt in the snow and everything started hurting worse. Well when i got up to the hospital i was having contractions every 2-7 minutes and then a few hours passed and they got alot more painful then they were every 2-5 mins apart, my lower back was killing me, i foundout i was 1cm & 40% thinned already and he is head down & low. they gave me a progesterone shot i ate & drank and they werent going away well within a few hours they did space out and calm down and thursday afternoon they let me go home and told me to watch the cramping and everything. Well i was just wondering about the bloody mucus/discharge i was having it was weird it was mucusy & like runny blood. i never have bleed before by them checking me and getting an internal so its just weird & i was wondering if it could be my bloody show. Ya the cramping comes and goes it isnt as bad as wednesday and wednesday night its slowed down but still hurts alot. Im just worried ill go labor again they said i have a very good chance of having another preterm baby because i already had one & also because shes not that old like i said she is only 8 months will be 9 months january 13th.

Awe gosh, I'm sorry to hear that. I understand the pain for sure. I was told by my nurse in L&D that bleeding may occur. It hasn't happened before so I didn't expect to again. If it's more than you are comfortable with, I'd call your doctor. Is your next appointment close? He may have you come in early to check it out. I hope you don't have a preterm baby, that's scary. Thank you & yes having a preterm baby is really scary & hopeing this one stays in there for awhile but he has been trying to come. I go back to the doctors on Monday at 10am they wanted me to come in right away and early scence im having alot of problems. the Progesterone shots ii get weekly dont seem to be helping me stop going into labor because like i said im 1cm & 40% thinned. im praying. The blood just scared me & last night i had some Yellowish discharge with bright red blood streaked in it as well idk whats going on. When i was in the hospital i didnt have a uti it came back good.

Sounds like the plug for sure! You're almost as progressed as I am and I'm almost 37 weeks! o.O I'm assuming the doctors tell you to stay in bed? Yeah right! With kids at home and a husband that works 50+ hours a week, bed rest is impossible! (Sorry, ranting)
