Early labor, or am I being paranoid?

I will be 36 weeks on Monday, and shortly after me and my husband had intercourse around 7 last night I started feeling a lot of pressure. It almost had me in tears, I couldn't stand, or walk for that matter. Even sitting down was painful. I tried taking a warm bath but I just wasn't comfortable. I haven't really felt baby move as much as she normally does since then either.

All night last night, I wasn't comfortable at all, I kept getting up every what seemed like 10 minutes to pee & I'm noticing a weird smell down there as well?

I don't know if it's from me peeing so constantly, or what.

I'm not sure if baby has dropped, I just feel so strange everytime I get up.

I have an obgyn next week, so I don't know if I should wait till then or go get checked out at the hospital?

Any advice?

Oh yeah, and I'm having quite a few braxton hicks contractions as well.

probably normal pregnacy stuff, it gets painful towards the end, but if you are worried call your doctor.

What does the smell smell like?

I was thinking of calling, but they are just probably going to tell me to come in.

I remember having all this pressure with my son, but that wasn't till I was 39 weeks, and I went into labor shortly after.

Sounds like normal pregnancy stuff except for the smell you speak of... might want to make sure you bring that one up to a DR just in case there is an infection of some sort... Good Luck

Is it sweet smelling at all?

I guess if I' had to choose a smell, it would be sweet yes.

Its always possible the baby has dropped but even if not it could still just be pressure from the baby. Mine came earlier this pregnancy than the first also. No clue on the smell though.

Go to the ER its better to be safe than sorry, Plus what would it hurt anyways to being cautious? I'd go now for sure instead of waiting till next week!

I would call the DR before I went to the ER... the DR might be able to see you quicker and knows your history better

I agree with calling the doctor. Going to the ER takes forever! I haven't been able to DTD with my hubby in weeks because of the pain I am in after. Doesn't matter the position. However, The pressure could be the baby dropping. I've had that too for weeks now. Just started having cramps this week. Besides, usually if you go to the hospital they hook you up to monitors and iv's and it's just a big pain in the butt.
