re: How do I get my 2yo to take a nap?

Quoting crazy coupon lady:" If it were my child I wouldn't allow naps at all. And not that late. Hell no. My kids naps were cut ... [snip!] ... nap at.5 till 8 then bitches her kid wouldn't.sleep at 10 pm its like um hello she just woke up. And she was like 5 yrs old."
After 2 pm I try extremely hard to just keep him awake but it doesn't always work out. If my boy is tired and he falls asleep he won't get up for anything. I would completely cut out naps if I didn't need to sleep myself.

Quoting Nanna Boo Boo's Mommy:" My DD is 3 and i would love it if she would take naps she is normally up at 7 - 7:30 and climbs in our ... [snip!] ... had to stop with the movies at night. So we are always having to change our routine with DD to get to to bed at a decent time."

We can't have movies on either. At night it has to be completely dark for him to go to sleep, and the radio has to be on. I guess he never really got a routine or he refuses to have one...

Yea same with my DD. She only falls asleep in her room with a dim night light and the fan on. And only if i am sitting there next to her.

His bed is still in our room so I have gotten used to this as well. Funny thing is he won't sleep in his little Lighning McQueen bed, he pulls the matress off, puts it on the floor and that's where he sleeps.

Quoting Stephanie Heyer:" And how comfortable would you be leaving your children with a complete stranger? My assumption is not the least."
