Pretty sure I just explained that I have no one in the area and day cares won't take them because they would rather fill the position with a full time child...

I would never leave him in another room, that just makes me cringe.

Sorry I just read what I wrote and I sounded incredibly rude, I'm really not trying to be rude.

Teens are in school when I have to sleep, if it were summer that wouldn't be a problem and I have thought of that.

And how comfortable would you be leaving your children with a complete stranger? My assumption is not the least.

If you have local churches, sometimes they have bulletin boards there with people inquiring about babysitting jobs. (My church does)

I know it can be hard to find a babysitter you trust, and it is also expensive
But if you found a babysitter at least for two days out of the week, you could sleep a real sleep and not cat naps.

My LO stopped taking naps at that age and after that there was nothing I could do. I can imagine you are exhausted.

I am extremely exhausted and thank you I can't believe I forgot about the churches.

If it were my child I wouldn't allow naps at all. And not that late. Hell no.

My kids naps were cut out at 14-16 months old. If they crashed they crashed but no napping allowed after 2-3pm ever. Lol

My friends kids would nap at.5 till 8 then bitches her kid wouldn't.sleep at 10 pm its like um hello she just woke up. And she was like 5 yrs old.

whether you're in the same room or not, you should NOT be sleeping --- especially when you have THREE children to care for. how are you not understanding how dangerous and awful this is? if you cannot properly care for your children due to your night time job, i think its time for a new job

My DD is 3 and i would love it if she would take naps she is normally up at 7 - 7:30 and climbs in our bed and will lay there for about a half hour and then we are up and getting breakfast and watching tv my DD wont fall asleep until like 10pm and even later if we let her. She used to fall asleep while watching a movie but now stays up and will keep watching movies. So we had to stop with the movies at night. So we are always having to change our routine with DD to get to to bed at a decent time.

My children are more than properly cared for thank you. Considering jobs are just so easy to get in this economy and I bring in over $2,000 a month after taxes I think I'll keep mine. My 5 year old is in kindergarten, and my five month old is more than happy to be in his bouncer, swing, or exersaucer. I didn't ask for your opinion on how horrible you think I am because I need to sleep to provide for my family and not nearly lose another damn finger or a hand. I asked for advice to help get my 2 year old to take a nap. But I suppose this is the internet and a public forum so I'll get what I don't want anyways. It's so horrible to gate him into a room where there are only toys a chair and a futon, where all of the outlets are unreachable by him, and the tv stand is bolted to the floor. Yup I'm and awful person.
