girls name

well i love the victorian language of flowers. I love that not many people know the words behind flowers, that you can have a conversation with flowers. Anyway i love the name Lila after Lilac (which means first emotions of love/ i havent known love till you) this is how i think i will feel toward the baby comes. if its a girl, what do you think?

Lilacs are my favorite flower. I don't care for the name Lila. it's a bit too common for me.

yes. Then again it depends. I think the name Indigo is a bit too odd, and when I lived in way up state NY, we ran into a little girl at a play ground with the name. It was fitting because she had cute stick straight pigtails on the very top of her head and her eyes were so blue they were almost purple. Now, I associate the name w.cute little purpled eyed babies. But I couldn't see it on the average person.

My daughter's middle name is sage and I've gotten a lot of lip for it. So, if you like it and it seems to fit your baby, great!

Thanks. I named her that, because in pagan religions, sage is used to purify a sacred space, and a Sage is a wise person. I wanted her to be pure of heart and wise.

I've always wondered is Lila pronounced Lee-la or Lie-la?

I chose Lilah for DD. I couldn't choose a name for a girl, and hated every single one I saw. When I finally saw this, I completely fell in love. When we chose it I never heard it anywhere, now almost 2 years later I hear it everywhere.

Lilly or Liliana maybe?

I suggested it, but my husband said that since our daughter is already strong willed and rules the roost, we'd be asking for trouble LOL I had to agree. My daughter is a big handful. She has a might presence in a tiny package and can be overwhelming to say the least.
