Quoting FroggysMommy:" This nation is so against helping those in need. Look at the benefits Canada offers... health insurance, ... [snip!] ... disabled... not shun them for using tax payer money. And helping them doesnt mean "Go get a job so you can deserve benefits!""
Quoting *PeanutButter*:" <blockquote><b>Quoting justanothamotha:</b>" What? The testing thing is totally doable ... [snip!] ... even finish high school because I had so many surgeries I had to repeat my freshman year 3 times. Don't be so quick to judge"
Quoting Fatty McRunnerPants:" I think if we can get this whole healthcare situation cleared up we'd be so much better off. It's a ... [snip!] ... so much better off. It's a crying shame that those who work but aren't rich are basically screwed when it comes to healthcare."
Quoting FroggysMommy:" Healthcare would help a lot. Look at it this way... my shot each month is $2000. My hormones are about ... [snip!] ... of the surgeries Ive had.... Im extremely gracious of medicaid and people act like all those on assistance arent appreciative."
Quoting *PeanutButter*:" I WISH I could find a job I'm qualified for I would have to have a job that doesn't require standing ... [snip!] ... until I can afford to go back to school and get some type of degree instead of not having any type of income to help with bills"

[snip!] ... even finish high school because I had so many surgeries I had to repeat my freshman year 3 times. Don't be so quick to judge"When your job is hiring people & you have someone you have to answer to on the quality of people you choose to hire - you HAVE to be quick to judge. It's part of not wasting company time. Don't take it personal - I am just letting you know how it is. It isn't about you. It's just me explaining that it's pretty standard operating procedure when there are more than enough applicants & most have at least a GED or HS diploma. And ye s- you telling me you don't have a drivers license & have issue getting transport to take one test, etc, etc, odes not make you a desirable candidate for most jobs. If you can't figure out how to get that one thing done by age 21, it doesn't bode well to an employer about what you are motivated to accomplish. It just is what ti looks like. Again, you can take it personal if you wish, I am just telling you what it LOOKS like on the other side of that equation.

Quoting The Master:" I used to work with a C4 quadriplegic that had a Phd in Social Work and worked full time for the department ... [snip!] ... blind. I also used to take a ventilated quadriplegic to university where they were getting their degree in English teaching."
Quoting Back to Noob Status:" I can see what you are saying, and I think that while there is no excuse to not have a high school diploma/GED ... [snip!] ... judge because it is taking me six years to graduate college thanks to some uncontrollable circumstances I have to deal with."I'm not judging either because I am a SAHM & no longer have nay need to make assessments/judgements on such matters.
