Quoting Beanie's Breeder:" hmmmm lol. im moving there. i need to live somewhere that makes sense!"
Quoting The Master:" I have anxiety and panic disorders, and severe psoratic arthritis. I've worked full time since I was ... [snip!] ... I had to give up my career in nursing I simply started a new career in IT. IMO there is no disability that you can't work with."
Quoting Raptor Jesus:" Yeah, unfortunately things are a lot different here and most people can't achieve college educations ... [snip!] ... its own and navigating all of that would be near impossible for someone so limited unless they have immense amounts of help). "
Quoting LolaMcKitten:" My dad recently turned 50 (he's the oldest person in the US with his condition, he was the first person ... [snip!] ... out of pocket for it.....he ended up flunking out because he couldn't keep up, but still.....no one would give him a chance. "

So many hardworking people get snuffed all the time because of disabilities. It's maddening when people say things like, "Well, they should just suck it up. I know a guy who knows someone's mother's friend who lost three limbs in a shark attack and even she was able to get a lucrative job on the inspirational speeches circuit so anyone should be able to do anything at any time!!1"
Quoting The Master:" That's societies failure not his"

Quoting The Master:" Thnigs in Australia and America are extremely different. Here the government is more interested in throwing money at rehabilitation and training than it is to simply pay people to sit at home."
Quoting Fatty McRunnerPants:" Yes I have a good case at getting disability. Something I never really thought of doing, though. I worked ... [snip!] ... day so he could go to work. I have a bit of a skewed version of what really makes someone unable to be employed because of him."
