Wrong

Excessive use of a stroller and not letting your child exercise on a daily basis is lazy. A child who can't walk more than 5 minutes clearly has problems. The OP stated it would only be used for longer walks. Seriously ridiculous, lmfao.

Which is what I just said. Learn to read all my posts. No child unless medical reasons should be in a stroller passed walking age IMO. Long walks or not.

Learn to read? I read your post, lmfao. Strollers do not create lazy children.

Damn, how judgmental can people possibly get?

I'm the least judgemental person ever so. Yes I don't agree with stroller use but I also.said for my own children and I also said in kids that are 5-6 yrs old.

Am I the only one who thinks it's weird to even have an opinion regarding other people using strollers for their kids....whether the kid is 6 months or 6 years old?

It has never occurred to me to have any sort of opinion on the subject

the things people get all worked up over, I swear   and LOL @ the idea that a stroller makes a kid lazy.....as if they spend all of their waking hours in a stroller. Little kids have little legs and little kids don't always have the stamina to endure walking for 6-8 hours straight at the zoo or a theme park or other things of the like. Just because a kid might ride in a stroller during such occasions doesn't mean they live a sedentary life. Most 4 year olds, by nature, are pretty active in general and a stroller doesn't indicate sloth like tendencies. I think some of you just like to find things to argue and be all superior about. Find something that actually matters and fight about that, leave the OP alone about the stroller, good lord.

OP, I'd get one of those sit and stand things, that way your older child can ride when he wants and walk when he wants.

Not the best picture, but this is our 5yo on the wheeled board at Universal Studio's last month. This set up is rather pricey, you can buy a 'universal' board for like $80 and it'll clip to any stroller from Graco to Maclaren.

When she's not riding it, the board unclips and you would never know it was there...

my daughter was 4 when my son was born. I was going to get the sit and stand but then i noticed Jade hates to be in her stroller so i ended up just getting a regular travel system

Ya, strollers seem crazy expensive over there. The ladies on strollersandprams.com have them imported...they're obsessed. lol I'm a total addict too, luckily I get them pretty cheap on eBay/Craigslist or local boutique sales.

I dont get what there is to get all worked up about personally. My son still sometimes needs his stroller. Hes SN and is on different types of meds that can make him have off days and not be able to walk long distances. I dont really see the problem with a 4 year old being in one. Hes 4 1/2.

I need to find a stroller, too. My almost 5 year old has difficulties with comprehension and it is unsafe for him not to be in one.. I just have a hard time finding a good one that holds both the big kid's weight. I think I am going to get a sit and stand this spring.
